Professional Experience

Rev. Dr. Desmond Maul is the Founder and CEO of Family360, Inc., and President of Hosanna Ministries, Inc., an Outpatient Mental Health Counseling Center in Rockdale County, Georgia.

Born in Kendal, Hanover, Rev. Dr. Desmond Maul, DMFT, LMFT, migrated to the USA in 1969 with his father and five siblings. Dr. Maul is a retired Philadelphia Police Officer and former Pennsylvania State Certified Instructor of Police at the Philadelphia Police Academy. During his tenure with the City of Philadelphia Police Department, he maintained positions as a Therapist, Stress Management Trainer, Trainer of Police Recruits at the Philadelphia Police Academy, and Critical Incident and Crisis Responder.

Today, Dr. Maul is an ordained Minister, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He is also a certified instructor with the Evangelical Training Association. Since age 29, he has planted and pastored at several multicultural churches across Pennsylvania and Georgia. He was married 27 years to his first wife, who produced three daughters and one son; he is a grandfather of 13. He is currently divorced.

Dr. Maul’s academic career has also helped propel his mission for Mental Health and pastoring new and small churches in PA and GA. He earned a Biblical Studies Diploma from Calvary Evangelistic Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hunter College in New York, New York, before advancing to complete a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Maul earned his doctorate in Divinity, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Eastern University/Palmer Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Maul is no stranger to community service; from 1984 – 2010, he provided Outpatient Mental Health services to Children and Youth, Adults, Addicts, Couples, and families in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He relocated to Georgia in 2010, planting two new churches and providing outpatient mental health services to families and individuals as a Georgia State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Consultant, and Guest speaker. Dr. Maul hosted a Call-In Counseling Radio Program on WGFS, 1410 AM, for two years out of Covington, Georgia. Needless to say, Dr. Maul has been commended as a Police Officer, Pastor, and Community Activist for his continued dedication, selflessness, and service.
